This movie is bound to make you laugh and cry.
Review by Tiya Sharma:
Kriti sanon starrer Mimi had an early release on the 27th of July. This Laxman Utekar directed film is a remake of the successful marathi flim Mala Aai Vyyahche! (2011). The movie is set in Rajasthan. It is about Mimi Rathore, an aspiring actress who is in desperate need of money to be able to conquer her dreams. John (played by Aiden Whytock) and Summer (played by Evelyn Edwards), an American couple can't conceive and they propose an offer of 2 million dollars for Mimi to be a surrogate mother. In order to build a stable financial condition for her future as an actress, She accepts the offer. Witnessing everything that unfolds after that is an interesting journey.
This movie is over loaded with impeccable performances by Kriti sanon, Pankaj tripathi, Sai tamhankar and many more. A.R Rahman's music is the cherry on the top for this movie. Kriti sanon's performance has captured everyone's heart by surprise. This is hands down her best performance in her career. Pankaj Tripathi never fails to blow away everyone by his natural acting abilities, just like in this film as well. Manoj Pahwa and Supriya Pathak didn't get as much screen time but still managed to leave a big impact on the audience.
This movie is bound to make you laugh and cry and It's worth watching especially for the last intense 30 minutes of the movie followed by the unexpected ending.
